This document summarizes the roles and processes of instructional designers supporting an Open Course Library Project. The instructional designers will assist faculty in developing high-quality online courses that meet student needs and undergo a Quality Matters review. The designers provide consultation, feedback, and help faculty align course outcomes with content and design intuitive course navigation. Courses go through check points and are based on research and standards, not faculty evaluation. The goal is to create well-designed courses that are easier for all to use.
